Pork meat, consists with low-calorie and low level of fat, harmful to health. From the vitamins point of view the pork meat distinguished mainly by its wealth of B vitamins, particularly the vitamin B1 (thiamine), which plays an essential role in the assimilation of carbohydrates, transmission of nerve inflows, and functioning of the neuromuscular system. Pork meat is one of the best dietary sources of vitamin B1, with a record content of 0.7 to 1 mg, that exceeds in large numbers any other meats. It is also to emphasize the presence of vitamin E, and traces of vitamins A and D.
