Carneiro e Salgueirinho, Ltd appears in the market in the 70's, by the hand of its founders and current managing partners, Deolinda Salgueirinho da Silva and Manuel Pereira Carneiro. With the know-how and strength to win of both founders, a marketer of live cattle and one dead cattle dealer, were fulfilled the necessary conditions to found a Industrial slaughterhouse.
Always in search of a better product for its customers, the strategy turned upstream in the supply chain and arises the Agro Espido. This investment in livestock, provides a greater control of the chain at its source, which enabled a genetic improvement and total control of the product.
The concern with their clients, and the need of a direct line of feedback to their products, instigated always a concern downstream, with the Butcher of Carneiro e Salgueirinho, existing at the fair, in Trofa city. This business unit, allows shortening the assessment of marketed products and new products, providing a privileged analysis of consumer habits, and becoming the first vector of analysis to the modeling of existing products and the inclusion of new ones.
